Christmas Presents
I'm in love with my first and only Tole Tray. I found this on eBay a little before the holidays and decided to treat myself. It wasn't the cheapest thing I've ever bought, but I really love the green color with the pretty flowers. I'm really getting into green lately.
Like, take for example this great Jadite salt and pepper shakers. This was one of my husbands presents to me for Christmas. I have wanted some of these for soooooo long! Love Jadite.
Here's another gift I got for myself, a vintage milk-glass pitcher to add to my pitcher collection. It was only $3, can you believe it? I found it at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, one of my favorite places to find treasure.
I'm loving all the yellow/cream and green with hints of pink right now. I have never thought of myself as a "pink and green" person, but when it's yellow and green with touches of pink, I love, love, love it!
What about you? What did you get for Christmas?

Oh it is all so pretty! Love that tole tray so much and how cool of your hubby to get you the jadite set.
I think it's interesting when I realize that with certain other colors I can really tolerate colors that I wouldn't otherwise. I think it's all about what things are paired with. Nice job, all yours are beautiful.

The white pitcher (with the raised dots) brought back memories. My Mom had one when I was a child. We had many teas with it. I had forgotten about it.
Your blog is just lovely. Stop by some time.

Hi Angela,
Over the years I've been given some pieces of milkglass but the only thing I know about jadite is that after seeing it on your blog I had to go googling to see more - it's beautiful! What a lovely Christmas gift!
I'm definitely a green & white person - that search led me to jadite knobs for kitchen cabinets. Could be a possibility if we ever get around to fixing up the kitchen. Thanks!

I love all your Christmas present treasures. I do love green, it's one of my favorite colors and I have it throughout my house. So I adore your tray! The colors are my cup of tea! The milk glass pitcher was a great bargain. I have not seen one of those less than $20 around here. My cousin collects the dotted milk glass. I've always loved jadite. That was a sweet present! My nephew had my name this Christmas and I received a really cute gardening set from Smith & Hawken and a new cookie press, (because my arcane press kept sticking and a making a mess out of our cookies while we trying to bake them). My son is 14 and he bought me a new printer and I was super spoiled by my parents this year - it totally floored me - I got a new MacBook!

Angela,
Congrats on your purchase of a Tole Tray! I used to collect them for a while and sold all but one. Your jadite S&P shakers are lovely. My best friend is a huge jadite collector. And the milk glass takes me back to being a little girl. Great choices!
I am having my first giveaway of pink and green if you want to stop by and take a peek!

Such a pretty hobnail pitcher! My grandmother had several pieces that I remember as a child - and I was fascinated by the silky, bumply texture. I love green too, and have about 100 pieces of vintage McCoy and Bauer art pottery in shades of green and turquoise. I put all my green things away for the fall/winter, and love when I unpack them again each Spring - so cheerful!

Hi Angela,
I am enjoying your redecorating and the before pictures are absolutely priceless. Thank you for sharing this very huge project.
The milk glass pitcher is "vintage" YIKES, does that mean I am vintage? I've had mine since I was married in 1960!!! Thanks again, 'Vintage' Jan
