Welcome!

Hi, my name is Angela, and I refuse to let my 50's ranch home (or my budget) keep me from cottage style.

Baby Girl's Room: Details

Pink Tie Pillow Shams

Baby Girl's Room

Thank you all so much for your ideas on colors for Baby Girl's room! I'm still deciding--I'll share more in a few days. But in the meantime, I couldn't resist sharing some more details. So here's some of the little bits that caught my eye in her room this morning.

As I said the other day, it's still a work in progress. Of course I'm thinking of accessories, but gosh, baseboards and trim might be a good idea, don't you think, (she says, sheepishly)?

I'm proud to say that almost everything in here is thrifted. The exceptions are the curtains (eBay), the bed (IKEA), the console (scratch-and-dent) and the pillow shams & pillow covers (homemade). And yes, there are tutorials coming! :-)

Oh yes, and for those who were curious, the three dresses actually do have specific meaning. The orange one on the left belonged to Baby Girl's aunt, who she is named after. The middle one belonged to Baby Girl's grandmother, and the right one belonged to another baby girl who is exactly one year older than Baby Girl, to the day.

Oh, and who can forget the free china hutch--that's in here too! I will get a picture of that as soon as I can.

Now I just need to find that paint color! :-)
