Great Christmas Pillow Giveaway 2007

Great Christmas Pillow Giveaway 2007

What a wonderful year! I don't know how many of you know this, but I started this blogging adventure about this time last year. I've had an incredible year, meeting all of you, learning so much, and just generally being blessed with all the amazing thoughts, spirit, friendship, and let's face it, eye candy, that you all contribute every day. It totally blows me away how generous you all are in sharing your thoughts and expertise and inviting us into your homes day after day. For this, I am eternally grateful.

Floral cotton pillow

As a thank you, I am giving away all of the pillows that have been featured on my family room couch for the last few posts. Each pillow is a one-of-a-kind pillow cover that I made from fabric and trimmings I had in my stash, and stuffed with a feather insert from IKEA. Some of them come with an additional cover that came with the pillow for seasonal changes. If you are allergic or prefer not to have feather, I will include a polyfiber insert instead).

Floral cotton pillow

First off, I am giving the first pillow, the pretty floral with the pom-pom trim is being given to Kaylyn of Dunlap Love for being the first person on the holiday home tour yesterday to comment on the pillows and inspiring this event. Kaylyn's pillow is a cotton floral made from a secondhand Waverly curtain panel with cotton pom-pom trim, and has a simple envelope enclosure on the back so the cover can be removed and washed. Which I am going to do right now before I send it to you, Kaylyn!

Red Floral and Strip Pillow

Now, onto the next pillow! The pillow I'm giving away today is the first of two oblongs. This pillow has a cotton red floral fabric on the front with a button envelope enclosure. This cover also removes and is completely washable.

Red Floral Stripe Pillow

The back is a red and tan stripe.

White Floral Pillow Cover

This pillow also comes with a lighter, brighter white background floral cover that originally came with the pillow, you can see that pillow cover in the picture at right.

I'm so excited to be giving something back to all of you who have given me so much! So--comment away! Comments on today's post will be given a chance to win today's pillow. Tomorrow I'll choose someone randomly to win, and then post the next pillow to be given away.

Merry Christmas everyone!

~Angela :-)

Angela,

Then you will have an excuse to make more pillows. Your neutral couch gives you an excuse to change colors seasonally. Not so with my not too pretty tapestry couch. ugh!!

Angela,
How thoughtful of you to gift away your wonderful handmade pillows. Truthfully I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas for the very reason to make some pillows, which I've never done before in my life, but I'm determined! All of your pillows are just lovely!
Hugs,
Rose

Your family room is getting cozier and cozier with all the pillows and decorations that you add...that big table holds a lot of good stuff! What's extra fun is that your decorating style, textiles, colors, are much like mine. :)

Fran:

Your home is just beautiful. You really did a good job on the pillows.

I have a question. How has your IKEA sectional held up? We are in the process of looking for something new for our family room and I think your sectional is just beautiful. I just worry about it holding up. Please email me and let me know!

Thank you!

Fran
