Color Challenge Results: Pink

English Sachet Rose

My goodness! I can't tell you how much fun it was just to get to see so many new blogs while going through all of them for the round-up. There's some old favorites, some new gems, and some genuinely talented people here. I encourage you to check them all out. Thank you everyone for participating--it's been just a joy for me. Oh yes, and there's a drawing, too! That's at the end of the post.

Meanwhile, here's everyone who joined in the pink post fun:

Jill from Forever and Ever House
One of the cutest collections of things from her little girls' room, including an adorable quilt and a pink kitchen set. Why didn't I have one of those?

Crafty Gardener
The prettiest little tea set I've ever seen, plus some very pretty pink flowers. My favorite, of course, is the pink rose. Although I really like that tea set. And the other dishes. And...

Emily from Remodeling This Life
You've all met Emily before as the inspiration for the Dear Angela series (returning next week). Though red is her usual color, she was able to find some lovely pink including a beautiful vintage quilt.

Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses
In Rhondi's collection of pink, she's included one of the prettiest floral teacups I have ever seen, a very pretty pink and white quilt, and the very best thing of all: her actual "rose colored" glasses!

Annie from Annalunda
I think I've mentioned before that Annie's blog is one of my absolute favorites. There's something about that pretty yet practical Swedish style that really appeals to me. Her post for the pink challenge includes a gorgeous collage of beautiful old roses and china her grandparents got as a wedding gift in 1906. Very pretty.

Pam/Digging (Part 2)
An amazing Austin, Texas gardener, Pam has flowers of all colors in her beautiful garden. For the pink challenge she included not one, but two posts chock full of gorgeous pinks. My favorite picture of all is in the second photo in the first post including roses, Echinacea and a cute birdhouse.

Tara from Days Missed on a Hammock
Tara included pictures of her lovely pink dining room which were fun to see. I also really love Tara's banner photo at her blog: the warm light on the wood floors is just so cozy looking.

Poppins Tradgard (Poppins' Garden)
Poppins' Garden is a gorgeous confection. Every post includes a beautiful photograph of a little moment in her Swedish home or garden, and her pink post is no exception. Roses and china, so beautiful.

Marcia at Blue Bobbin
Pink polkadots and pink and yellow quilt tops is what you'll find a new blogger Marcia's pink post. Trip Around the World is one of my favorite quilts, and in fact the fabric strips that I featured in my own pink post are intended for a quilt of this pattern. Fun!

Jenn and Jacqui from The Bowerbirds' Nest
Posts are never skimpy at The Bowerbirds' Nest, and this post is no exception. Prepare to be dazzled by an array of hearts and bling, all of them gorgeous. Thanks, you two! Love it!

Anna at FlowerGardenGirl
If you want to see a beautiful spread of garden beds featuring pink flowers, this is the post for you. They're all so pretty!

Julie at Help! I'm Old! (Part 2)
Julie truly has pink everywhere: bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. My favorite is the beautiful pink jeweled candles. Very pretty!

Meg at Whatever
Meg's post features the most precious of pink: baby pink. A photo post of her friend's baby shower, this post will have to ooohing and ahhhing all over the place.

Suzanne at At Home With The Farmer's Wife
A lovely story of her grandmother's dressing table is the theme of Suzanne's post, and includes lovely photos of her own dressing table which includes a beautiful vintage bottle of perfume. Pink, of course!

Melanie from Old Country Gardens
If you love pink flowers and gorgeous gardens, you have to see Melanie's blog. Her pink post is a gorgeous display of pink flowers. And her home, featured in the top banner, just makes me sigh every time I see it.

Tuija from Ruusuja ja Rikkaruohoja (Roses and Weeds)
Pretty, pretty, pretty with a gorgeous strawberry topped wedding cake, lovely pink flowers and a beautiful table set for tea and coffee. Lovely!

Jodi at Blooming Writer
Like many, Jodi doesn't use pink in her décor, and doesn't seek out pink in her garden. But as it turns out, there's plenty of pink to be had, which you can see in her very pretty post including pink flowers of all types.

Kramiz from Kuller Villa
What a neat collection of pink things! Beautiful pink roses, and a gorgeous pink china tea set are naturally pretty, but there's great whimsical items too, like the pink thermometer or pink and grey socks. Fun!

Rhoda at Southern Hospitality
Mmmmm.....gorgeous photos of her Valentine's Day cake to her husband, all covered in chocolate. And also the pretty bouquet of pink tulips from her husband to her. Romantic AND pink!

Laurie Anne from Tinker's Pinkies
Laurie Anne has included just one photo, but it's so cute that it nearly steals the show. It's a picture of a pink and white toile outfit her daughter wore when she was 5 months old. So cute.

Kathy from Count it all Joy
Like many, Kathy didn't realize how much pink she had in the house until she went looking. And wow, did she find some pretty things! The vintage pink hotel chair is great, but the absolute crowning glory is the gorgeous picture of her front arbor with roses. Ah, divine!

Angela from It's a Shih-Tzu's Life
Oooh, a double-whammy. Not only is it a pink post, but everything was bought on discount! My favorite! The iron brackets, though not pink, are too cute, and I love the church/birdhouse/door décor. Love it!

Nancy from Solioquy
Nancy's photography is lovely, and her collection of pink has something for everyone. A cuter than cute picture of her baby girl (who's all grown up now), gorgeous flowers and some lovely china. The antique plate at the end is my favorite.

Thirkelgirl from Ivy Cottage Corner
It's always worth a trip to the Ivy Cottage Corner, if only to gaze longingly at the photo in her banner. But for pink post day, she's featured a cute pink ceramic teddy bear on a turquoise background. Cute!

Kathy from Kathy's Cottage
Floral china and fabric hearts are frothy and pretty in a dreamy set of photos. You will find yourself wanting to save them for inspiration, I'm sure. I did.

Lindenhaus
I'm absolutely touched and honored that the very first post at the new blog Lindenhaus is the pink post for the challenge. Thank you! The post is lovely, too, with vintage quilts, needlepoint and china. Pretty!

Mary at Chicken Marm
Mary has included a photo of a beautiful hydrangea with blooms of both pink and white, some as big as her orange kitty who's trying to get into the picture! They're beautiful.

Andrea at Big Creek Cottage
Andrea is mostly a red kind of girl, but she managed to find some pink in her home, including her very pretty marriage certificate and a gorgeous vintage Dresden Plate quilt. I loooove vintage quilts, and this one is a beauty!

Kethry at Urbania to Stoneheads
I never tire of looking at pink flowers, and Kethry's post has plenty of those. Lovely! There's also a picture of crocus in the lawn, which I adore but can't grow where I live (the 6 week post-bloom no-mow waiting period would leave me with a 2-3 foot lawn!), so it's fun to see them!

Joy at Garden Joy 4 Me
Just as you might think with a garden blog, there are beautiful photos of pink flowers. And they are beautiful. Despite a plethora of needless excuses, Joy has lovely pictures! Plus, as an added treat, she's included pictures of some beautiful Belgian tapestries.

Carrie at Oak Rise Cottage
The Royal Guest Room at Oak Rise Cottage is featured here, including pink floral bedding and pink accessories, and of course, one of my favorite decorating habits, plates on the walls. Pretty!

Katherine at Things I Enjoy
It's a cupcake party at Things I Enjoy. Cupcake themed dishes, including lots of pink, are the subject of this post. Now I'm hungry, how about you?

Jim at Art of Gardening
The Villandry Garden of Love in France is featured in Jim's lovely post. All the different forms of love are included in the various formal gardens. And, of course, pink. Truly an amazing thing, this garden.

Layanee at Ledge and Gardens
Pretty, pretty pink flowers. I never get enough of these. Layanee has included flowering cherries and almonds, but also some gorgeous shots of emerging bleeding hearts foliage that is, surprisingly, pink. Neat.

Amy at Ross...Party of Six
Like many with families that are mostly boys, Amy doesn't have a lot of pink in her décor, but she makes up with it in her daughters very charming, very pink room. Lovely. And to top it off, there's a pretty pink cake stand filled with cinnamon rolls at the end. Scrumptious!

Robin from Robin's Nesting Place
Robin starts with a stunning picture of a single garden pink bloom (dianthus), follows with several more beautiful flower pictures, and then breaks out the floral china, serving up photo after photo of pure gorgeousness. But wait, there's still more: pink depression glass, pink flora journals... what a post. Don't miss it!

Jan at Daylily Lane
If you like pink floral teacups and depression glass, this is a post for you. What a pretty collection. I think my favorite is the one with the deep rose band and gold rim. What about you?

Lisa from The Tardy Homemaker
What I love best about Lisa's post is that she gave it her best shot despite having nearly no pink at all in her home. She has a lovely photo of Echinacea and a bar of soap in a really pretty rosy color. That's determination, and I love it!

Penny at Lavender Hill Studio
If you don't already know Penny, you are in for a treat. Her mosaics are absolutely gorgeous! Her site features projects she has done and all kinds of delicious things to look at. Her pink post features mosaic hearts from her work. Gorgeous!

Cindy at My Romantic Home
I'm sure I've mentioned before that Cindy's blog is one of my absolute number one favorites. How she manages to post something gorgeous nearly every day, I will never know. Plus she's super nice and generous with her tips. As always, her pink post is beautiful, featuring gorgeous cupcakes in her gorgeous dining room!

Meems at Hoe and Shovel
Meems gives us a tropical twist on the pink flower theme with lovely flowers from her Florida garden, complete with a gorgeous Florida sunset at the end. If you're feeling cold and dreary, this is the post for you.

Lori of Pink Faded Roses
An Easter themed post of pink and all the Spring pastels is what you'll find here. Pretty photos of bunnies, eggs and sweet Springtime treats. And of course, no Spring-themed post would be complete without multi-colored Peeps! :-)

Kylee from Our Little Acre
Kylee's pink post includes flowers of every description except roses (well, there's one rose). And the photography is excellent--some gorgeous macro shots that are just lovely. I can't decide if the Tiarella or Columbine photo is my favorite. They're all so pretty.

Jennifer at The Old Painted Cottage
Jennifer's home (recently featured on the cover of Romantic Country magazine) is one of those that makes you just want to study, study and study. It's absolutely beautiful, and her husband joins in the fun, too! Her pink posts features some of the most unique and lovely things in the entire challenge, including a pink rhinestone clock and vintage pink kitchen canisters. Sigh! Just lovely.

Whew!

And now for the drawing. For this I enlisted the help of my little boy, who is always thrilled to pick names from a hat. And he chose...

...drumroll....

Rhoda from Southern Hospitality!
I must admit I'll be intimidated to do this since Rhoda is a talented interior decorator in her own right. But since she's so nice, I'm sure it'll go well! Rhoda, let's talk about what you want in a custom pillow cover! :-)

Thank you again to all of you! What a blast!

~Angela :-)

Thanks for doing all this! What a lot of work! And thank you so much for your nice comment about my blog! You are a sweetheart and your blog is one of my favorites too!

I can't wait to go visit all the blogs!

Lisa:

That was fun. In reality, I do have more pink around here (I have three girls after all). What happened was I got behind and realized that I had less than an hour to enter and I hadn't actually taken any pictures of pink things, so I had to go through recent-ish photos. I am glad somebody won who wasn't so lazy about it!!!

Hi Angela, I had to get in on the fun of seeing all this pink! I was a little late in getting it posted, but did so earlier today. Here's the link: Our Little Acre

Thanks for doing this! It's just what we needed in the middle of winter!

Angela,
Thanks for stopping by my little blog. The color on the wall is called Kathy's Glen by ACE. This was such a great idea. I had so much fun seeing everyone else's blogs, too fun :0)

Angela--thank you for the fun and new friends I met along the way. It was a good way to meet a lot of talented people. I'm getting lots of inspiration for my new home.

I started with your blog today and got off on a tangent cause of you. I started researching the quilt links and beautiful blogs about such things--and before I knew what happened, I was out $50 and on my way to making two hydrangea quilts!! Oh my----what a good time I'm having. Thank you for the hard work you put in your blog---it is just the thing I need right now.
