We've Got Trim!

I know this isn't the prettiest picture ever, but I just had to show you the progress in Baby Girl's room. You know about the chandelier and the new artwork, and over the last couple of weeks we've finished all the trim and started priming.
But, you say, trim? Didn't that room already have trim?
No, no it didn't. See?

Poor room!
And this is what we have now:

I hate to be obnoxious, but it looks pretty awesome, doesn't it? And my favorite part? The moulding was only about $75. Woo hoo!
Of course you know I'm dying to panel the ceiling like I did in the bathroom and cover the closet walls (oh heck, all the walls) with beadboard. But I'm trying to be sensible here, since this isn't our forever house.
But even still, just imagine it with pretty cream walls, that artwork from before, cute vintage fabrics, cozy quilts....

Can you see it? I'm starting to see it!
Oh yes, and it doesn't hurt that I've been collecting up inspiration pictures like nobody's business. I'll share those soon.
Meanwhile, I'm painting away. We had a couple of crazy overscheduled weeks, so things took a bit of a pause, but we're back on track this coming week to start getting things done. Especially since this room is going to double as a guest room and guess what? We're having guests in early May! Nothing like a little deadline to get you motivated!!
Best,

How inspiring! I've got to find a chandelier now!! We're also remodeling a 60's ranch and I'm envisioning my guest room as cottagey chic! So, yeah, thanks for the inspiration!

It's looking good Angela! It's amazing what a difference a little woodwork can make in adding charm and character. Can't wait to see the finished product. Your little boys room- I think it was in the other house- is one of my all time favorites!

I love the way it's coming together. And the trim is just perfect! Can't wait to see your inspiration photos and the room when it's all put back together. A deadline? Always works for me!

What a huge difference trim can make! Lovely! I always say that if the walls, trim, and flooring look wonderful, furnishing is easy. We are often content with something simple. And yes, I would love a tutorial, especially what you used for that thin piece under the header. I want to do the same thing.
