Independence Day Giveaway
As you have read, I'm in the middle of moving to our new house, and while I'm a little frantic at the idea of having two houses, both projects, right now, I'm also in the mood to celebrate! We got the keys Friday, the POD moves today, (I have nowhere to store anything....), so I'm in a give it away kind of mood.
SO, in honor of the U.S. Independence Day which we will be celebrating on July 4th, I am giving away this great patriotic cross-stitch I found at a thrift store the other day. I don't have anywhere to hang it, but I just couldn't leave it to languish with the water-damaged 80's-era prints!
It's about 12 in. by 14 in., and in a glass frame. I am pretty sure it's vintage, based on this label on the back:

The cross-stitch is darling. . . I've been bumming around the net today looking for last minute decorations for the porch for the holiday... I can see this gracing someone's porch wonderfully next year.

Angela that cross stitch is so neat. I love patriotic stuff and have the house all ready to go for the big day...well just one little flower bed left. I would love to be entered in your give away. Thanks for sharing. I also love the look of your new home. So many people are moving this summer!

Hey there,
I've been quietly reading your blog for a while now. It seems like so many other people have such great luck at thrift shops and I seem to only find junk there. Maybe it is just Portland thrift shops that don't offer the cool stuff you all find.
