Piper
Senior Resident Quilt Inspector
Piper is our Senior Resident Quilt Inspector, in residence since 2009. The first thing you notice about her is either her tawny, striped coat or her beautiful green eyes. Funnily enough, she seems to have a distinct preference for blue and green quilts that show off her eyes. She claims it’s her devotion to quality control, but I suspect she might be a little bit vain. She clearly feels that all blue and green quilts need to be for HER. Obviously.
Besides being very experienced at quilt inspection, Piper is particularly skilled at inspecting stash shelves, finished tops and quilts being pinned. She is deeply suspicious of the Junior Resident Quilt Inspectors, Thing One and Thing Two. Hopefully she’ll get used to them. In the meantime, we are so grateful to have her services! More of her specific work can be seen in the slideshow below:
Piper feels it important to make sure that all quilt fabric is stacked properly at all times.
Piper ensures that the Green 3x3 Plus Quilt is pinned correctly.
Relaxing is an important part of the work. A rested Quilt Inspector is a quality Quilt Inspector. Yawn!!
Another pinning job to be inspected, here on the Vintage Squares Quilt. Good job, Piper!!
Once a quilt top is finished, Piper gives it a thorough look and sniff to make sure it’s up to snuff. Here she’s inspecting the Peppermint Candy Pinwheel Quilt.
Piper says there’s never too much inspection when high shelves of quilt fabric are concerned!!
